This year we were again hosted by Andre and his wife Dana at their beautiful home.
The theme was BBQ, and boy did it turn out wonderful. Everyone brought their "A" game and it was a fantastic time!
As promised, here are some recipes:
Courtesy of Eric Eisenbud, the how-to's of brisket, from choosing the cut to smoking the meat.
Second, courtesy of Paul Eggermann's Pork Belly ala Marcelle
Eddie and Larry got an early start.
This little guy wanted to lick the lens every time I tried to take his picture.
Dana made an outstanding rhubarb pie.
This is Paul's Malaysian Style Braised Pork Belly. It went fast.
Eric had the sausages done perfectly.
We branded the steaks with the Les Marmiton branding iron. Cool!
This could become part of the new member initiation.

Dinner is served!
The wines needed a cool place out of the sun. They were all very good.
Barbara, Ginny and Bob are at the head of the line, while Eric takes pictures of everything.
Doreen brought more of Jay's sauce.
There were plenty of veggie dishes also.
Angela cut up the corn bread she made.
John and his daughter uncovered their potato salad.
Eric had loads of protein to take pictures of.
Bob and Ginny start off with Andre's chicken dish.
Mel liked the sausage.
Eric never let go of his iPad.
Doug and Angela caught a little shade while the line forms.
There was plenty for everyone.
I think Bob needed two plates.
Pork butt, sliced steak, baby back ribs, sausage and chicken were the stars of the dinner table.
Next came dessert. Blueberry and chocolate chip scones took a spot next to Dana's pie.
As did pecan pie tarts.
That is one BIG eclair!
Alison holds it down while Angela does the honors.
Eric couldn't resist this either.
They were gone in an instant.
Doug proudly displayed his canolli's.
My plate runneth over. What a BBQ. This one will be hard to beat, but I know we will do it!
You want hot? I got HOT!
That is a seriously smoked brisket of beef. See the recipes.
Paul forgot all about the bungee around his neck.
Eric is the grill man.
Dave brought his own glass. The rest of us drank out of plastic. What the heck - it was a BBQ!
Up close look at a branded steak.
Jay kept on slicing.
Dave is ready to do some damage.
Smile Ginny, Bob is watching.
John and his girls ham it up for the camera.
I don't believe she drank the whole thing.
We did it again! See you next year. Thanks to Andre and Dana for allowing us to creat culinary havoc in their house and yard once again.
