Welcome to Les Marmitons New Jersey Chapter.
Les Marmitons New Jersey is a member chapter of Les Marmitons International. Les Marmitons is a gastronomic and social club of gentlemen who share a common interest in fine food, wine and the culinary arts. Through regular gatherings in professional kitchens members gain knowledge and experience in the planning, preparation, presentation, and dining of various fine cuisines under the direction of a professional chef. You can get a glimpse of what we do HERE.
Les Marmitons International has chapters throughout Canada and parts of the United States. Founded in 1993, the New Jersey Chapter is the oldest in the US and has always had a loyal and talented membership. We are proud of our heritage and look forward to many years of fine cooking under the watchful eyes of our guest chefs.
What we do
We invite a guest chef to join us in an evening of cooking and friendship. We ask the chef to provide a menu and recipes for a four or five course dinner and mentor us as we prepare his food. Our guest chef's do not cook for us - we cook for them!
When and Where
We meet on the second Monday of each month at the Kiddie Keep Well Camp, Schriber Hall, Edison, NJ. The Event officially starts at 6:00 pm but all are welcome to arrive at 5:00 pm to help set up the room and arrange the ingredients on separate tables where the pre-prep will take place. Our President introduces the chef, conducts a short business session, we draw lots for the course we will work on and we hit the knives and stoves by 6:30 pm. The last course is out by 10:00 pm and we clean up and go home by 11:00 pm.
Become A Member
We have an open enrollment period at the moment. You do not need to know one of our members to join. Contact us for more information on attending as a guest and requirements for membership.
